Professional Summary
Najia Sheikh Khalid focuses her practice in the area of business and family-based immigration law. She advises and represents multinational companies and individual clients in connection with immigration-related matters, including nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions, labor certification applications, family-based petitions, adjustment of status and citizenship applications, and immigration interviews. She also assists with I-9 compliance and immigration litigation.
While in law school, Ms. Khalid served as a Student Attorney at John Jay Legal Services, Inc., Immigration Justice Clinic, where she represented indigent immigrants in complex removal proceedings, including immigration raid detainees, women with claims under the Violence Against Women Act, and asylees seeking immigration relief in the United States.
