Professional Summary
Mr. Morin has practiced law for more than 30 years, all but one
year practicing with New York City law firms. He has been a member of
Wormser, Kiely, Galef & Jacobs LLP for the past fifteen years. In
addition to his admission to several state and federal courts, Mr. Morin
serves as Mediator in the United States District Court for the Southern
District of New York. He has conducted arbitrations before panels of the
International Chamber of Commerce, the American Arbitration Association,
and the National Association of Securities Dealers.
During the course of his career, Mr. Morin
has represented both plaintiffs and defendants, and the clients he has
represented range from individuals and families to Federal and State
Agencies and to a number of the largest industrial corporations in the
world. He has represented individuals, corporations and banks
headquartered or resident in the United States and several foreign
countries, including Argentina, Austria, Canada, Columbia, Ecuador,
England, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Monaco, The
Netherlands, Nigeria, and Sweden.
Mr. Morin has extensive experience in
business litigation and arbitration and he has served as a principal or
lead counsel on several large matters during the course of his career
including: representing a federal agency in the United States’ largest
bank failure; a large Dutch industrial corporation in antitrust and
dealer/franchise litigation; Swedish and Finnish industrial corporations
in licensing and contract litigation; a German engineering company in a
construction and process engineering arbitration against the United
States’ largest gold mining company; a large pharmaceutical company in
products liability litigation; a state agency in personal injury
defense; and a large U.S. company in a litigation involving the athletic
footwear industry. In addition, he has been involved in insurance
litigation, contested probate matters, RICO, accounting and legal
malpractice, banking and real estate, securities law and trade
regulation.
