A member of Wormser, Kiely, Galef & Jacobs LLP and Co-Chair of the Alcohol Beverage/Hospitality Industry Practice Group, Mr. Kelly has recently retired as Senior Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel of Moet Hennessy USA, Inc. and Schieffelin & Somerset Co.  During his tenure as General Counsel, Mr. Kelly handled all legal matters for the company including providing alcohol beverage regulatory advice, negotiating purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, distribution agreements, advertising, sales promotion, and public relations agreements, trademark licensing agreements, employment discrimination matters, managing litigation and providing advice on all other corporate legal matters.  Prior to going in-house, Mr. Kelly represented major wine, distilled spirits and malt beverage producers, importers and wholesale distributors, as well as owners, operators and franchisors of national hotel, restaurant and recreational/entertainment venues in private practice with the law firm of Schreiber Tunick and MacKnight.  He has spoken several times at alcohol beverage control and hospitality industry conferences, and continuing legal education conferences including CLE International on such topics as the history of the Federal Alcohol Administration Act and Product Coding and Product Quality Assurance Programs.
